Happy 75th Birthday NHS! We are running 75 miles each during July

Our patient playground needs improvements to allow children to play in separate areas. This will keep our vulnerable children and children with cancer safe. Many children have a long inpatient stay and upgrading our parent facilities will allow parents and carers to comfortably stay on our ward during difficult times. 

The Healing Arts Programme is a national initiative that is part funded by Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals Charity to provide different forms of art that improve both staff and patient areas, leading to a positive experience for those being cared for. Most people who enter a hospital feel anxious and at their most vulnerable. A stark medical environment is unwelcoming and stressful. That's why our hospitals are committed to the Healing Arts Programme which can provide a positive impact and assist on the road to recovery. For several years, Charlotte has been involved with the Healing Arts Programme. The Bradley Unit at Woking Community Hospital is a neuro-rehabilitation unit. The funds that Charlotte raises will help to progress the environmental improvement project which will see the dayroom and conservatory transformed with bespoke artworks by artist Kate Blee, new furniture and redecoration. Kate ran printing workshops with patients in the unit to help develop artwork ideas.
